What's new in the salon?IPL - WHAT IS IPL YOU SAY?
IPL stands for Intensed Pulsed Light, which is very similar to 'laser' treatments.
Using patented pure gold wave technology the GLB IPL wand is placed gently on the skin where it produces a pulse of light. This light is then transmitted through specific filters then absorbed by the target area. Heat is produced which then damages the area giving the desired the result.
IPL is more effective than laser as the current of light which is used to treat the area is pulsed instead of one continious current giving a far superior result. The process of an IPL treatment varies for different areas to be treated, for Hair removal the light is used to destroy hair folicles to stop hair growth, for Photorejuventation it can smooth out skin tone, erase lines, remove pigmentation, sun damage, broken capillaries and plump up your own collagen fibres in the skin.
